As we come into this vibration, I, Albion, wish to expand upon our thoughts concerning the nature and power of the planet Pluto. As we stated in our last lesson, this is a timely topic in that Pluto is currently situated in the center of the Milky Way Galaxy. Like the eye of a vortex, the galactic center is in a state of calm, harmonious balance. When Pluto entered into this state of being, it allows individuals who are struggling with Pluto’s energy and position in their own natal birth chart to get a sort of “respite” from this planet’s power. This is so that one might get a clearer “view” of Pluto’s power, and so that one might experience this power in a different, more harmonious and balanced way. It is perfectly correct for us to say that Pluto’s power is paradoxical in its nature. On the one hand it provides an inner drive and force that can motivate a person to go into the depths of their being so that they might view the contents of their innermost self, and in doing so, have the opportunity to view, feel, think about, and thus experience Pluto’s power from the perspective of one’s own personal unconscious. On the other hand, Pluto’s power can be quite destructive. Evolution occurs as a result of a person’s personal experiences and one’s response to those experiences, both positive and negative. Pluto’s power can be extremely destructive to one who is not evolved enough yet to experience the highest of Pluto’s energy, and to those who are in denial of their own thoughts and shortcomings…of their own true nature. One might think that such individuals who are in such denial are the exception, but this is not the case. Self-denial is rampant among humans. One can have the eyes to look at another person objectively, and can usually make reasonably accurate judgments about other people. It is easy to determine what another person should and should not do, you see. It is harder to look at one’s own self as objectively as one can look at another because one is emotionally married to one’s own feelings. It is not so much a matter of those feelings being positive or negative [as that] is not really the issue here. All people have feelings about the world, other people, about life in general, and whether those feelings are positive or negative. They are like one’s “possessions” that are carefully guarded and defended if and when the occasion arises to do so. It is more rare for a person to change one’s feelings about anything than not. Having said all this, we say it in the spirit of helping you to understand the true nature of the planetoid Pluto.
One might ask the question: How much of a role does one’s past life experiences play in one’s responses to Pluto’s power in the current life? This is a valid question. The answer is “far less than it might be expected it to play.” Past lives are, nonetheless, a contributing factor. The factors are, however, unconscious, psychological forces within one’s self. To note the existence as to when and where one lived in another lifetime are not of concern to I, Albion. Rather, it is our concern as to the nature of one’s responses to those experiences that are important. How one thinks is more often than not the simple result of one’s current life’s experiences. How one looks is a matter of genetics. But when it comes to one’s emotional nature, that is a different story entirely because emotions are not only the strongest inner forces that any human being experiences, but they are long lived and form emotional “patterns” deep within one’s self. Feelings are different from emotions. Feelings are current and passing – one is in a bad mood, one is angry, one is sad or happy, for example. Feelings can and do change rather often and quickly in the course of one’s everyday activities. Emotions, on the other hand, form “patterns,” and these become “set patterns” that are based on two things. The first is repetition. The repetition can occur by past life experiences being re-lived in one’s current lifetime. Or, those patterns can be the result of a person’s soul type. The various types of souls are prone to forming certain emotional patterns, and when they do develop, they are very concrete in nature. This is why it is so difficult for most people to break a habit, and a pattern of emotions is an emotional pattern. And so, in this lesson we want to focus primarily on the effect Pluto is having that is of an emotional nature. This can be found in one’s natal birth chart. We will go around the Circle so that each person can tell I, Albion, what sign Pluto is located in your personal horoscope. We begin with you, Priscilla.
A. “My Pluto is in Leo.”
Annie: “My Pluto is also in Leo”.
Mary: “Pluto is in Leo.”
Frieda: “Pluto is also in Leo.”
Rob: “Virgo.” *
* Those who receive the lessons via email can apply Albion’s replies to what sign Pluto was in at the time of your birth. Pluto in Virgo will be explained in the next lesson. The individual houses are not given except for the people present in the class.
Very well. First, let us speak about the sign of Leo. If we take the basic nature of Leo into consideration, Leo is guided by the Sun, which is the life-giving power in the system within which Earth is located. Humans are, of course, dependent upon the Sun for light and life and spiritual vitality. Vitality is a very important word for those experiencing Pluto in Leo. It is a word that bespeaks of life, not of death. It bespeaks of energy and not complacency…of activity and not stagnation, of life, not death. Thus, stagnation, complacency, and the thoughts and experience of “emotional death” are important in a person’s life that is dealing with Pluto in the sign of Leo. Such “deaths” are experienced as the ending of a relationship, the quitting of a job, and so forth. Also, one experiences a “mental death” when one discovers that you were wrong about something you thought to be true, or when one’s opinion is proven invalid, or even when one has put one’s trust and faith in knowledge that is not really true. Any of these things are the enemy of anyone who is experiencing Pluto in Leo.
For the moment let us focus on the “blind spot” or the “shadow” of Pluto in the sign of Leo. Leo is ruled by the Sun. The Sun is the provider of life force…the “Breath”… of life in the solar system. Without the Sun there would be no solar system, much less any life. And so, living life to the fullest and getting the most out of everything that one engages in is extremely important – sometimes more than one might so than one cares to admit – to a person experiencing Pluto in Leo. It wants the most from the monies you spend. It wants the fullest value from one’s relationships. Pluto in Leo people can oftentimes expect far more from others than they realize, and sometimes more than they had the right to demand. Pluto in Leo can cause a person to be quite demanding, sometimes consciously and sometimes unconsciously, far more than they have a right to be…not more than they expect to be, but that they should be. Pluto in Leo lives life with every ounce of its being. Anything that falls short if what is expected or demanded will usually result in anger or extreme resentment. The same holds true for any personal or even any spiritual endeavor that Pluto in Leo undertakes. So anything that falls short of being the “most,” the “best,” the “fullest” is more wounding than might be recognized consciously, and can result in a person denying that they didn't get the most out of something, someone, or some situation in their lives. It is a matter of ego. Of all the levels within a person, it is the egoic or personality level that can be wounded and damaged the easiest and quickest by Pluto’s power.
On the positive side, Pluto in Leo can have pride, but it is not the sort of pride that results in a person being boastful and a braggart. While this does occur, it does not occur as often as one might think. But when it does occur, it can be very damaging and is one of the major causes an emotional pattern to develop…one feels the need to brag about one’s own self, you see. One doesn’t wait for validation to be earned or recognized by other people. On the contrary, such a person will find it necessary to validate themselves, and often in a loud and boisterous way. Pluto in Leo allows the ego to run one’s life. The ego is put in control, and any affront to the ego can result in a self-defensive “shell” that is like it is made of concrete around one’s self. You might say that such a shell is for self-protection, and sometimes this is the case. More often than not, it is a wall designed to keep others out, along with their ideas, their opinions, their beliefs, their experiences to influence yours because yours is valid in your eyes and that is the end of the story!
Pluto in Leo can also be a matter of the heart. As you know, Leo rules the heart in the physical body. Although the physical heart can be adversely affected by Pluto in Leo, but that is not what is of concern to I, Albion, here. It is rather the spiritual and emotional heart that is of importance in this lesson. The spiritual heart is all of the positive things Pluto in Leo can have: kindness, benevolence, and generosity. When one is living from their spiritual heart, their personality is kind, beneficial, and generous. These things are felt for other people, animals, and all that lives. Such a person genuinely views all that exists as their “relatives.”
There are those of you who expressed that Pluto is situated in the seventh house of your birth chart. This house rules union, that responds to the word “unity.” You have all heard the saying…“united we stand, divided we fall.” A person who is united within themselves…that all “parts” of their being are reasonably fused within the others, resulting in the person being “united” with one’s own self. But a person who is not so united, one whose ego runs their life, and/or that their physical body is all that they really care about is a “divided” human being. A person who has a divided inner being will fall…will fail to understand themselves. Oftentimes such individuals are very willing, even eager, to understand other people. But this can often be just another way of avoiding self-understanding. This is due to the fear of what exists in one’s own consciousness, or fear of failure, fear of rejection, fear of making mistakes and, most importantly, fear of living life to its fullest for fear that one’s power is not strong enough to sustain such living. So, if I don’t get used to living that way, I won’t be disappointed…I won’t disappoint myself….I won’t be disappointed with life in general. The seventh house also rules contracts, commitments, and agreements. We will focus on commitment. This can be something that causes and results in the greatest fear for a person experiencing Pluto in the seventh house, that being the fear of making the wrong commitment. Or, what if I make the wrong decision…and what if I make a commitment based on the wrong decision? What if I choose a course in life…a personal, professional, or even a spiritual path…that is not right for me? Well, in order to avoid doing that, perhaps it would be best to make such a commitment to a relationship…or a job or career….to a spiritual path, or a religion or philosophy of living, etc., so let me not make a commitment to any aspect of my life. That is an empty life. That is a life lived as if it has run out of fuel. On the positive side, if one is responding to Pluto’s power in a positive and constructive manner, then commitment is the very banner that one flies in one’s life. It is the definition or identity of such a person who is willing and able to make a commitment so they shall do so with confidence. Commitments rarely disappoint an individual. It is what one commits to that can be disappointing. Think about this statement very carefully. It is not the act of commitment that disappoints. This is a subtle but valid point to remember.
In addition to what we have said about Pluto in the seventh house, we wish to add that Pluto can lead one to experience the heights of bliss or the depths of despair in marriage or some other close relationship. Believe it or not, it is necessary that all relationships and unions experience both over the course of a lifetime. If there were no war, peace would not be valued. If there were no personal despair, one would not appreciate hope. If there were not hatred, one would not know the value of love.
It is also important to note, spiritually speaking, that having Pluto in the seventh house affords one the power to view commitment and promises to self and others as the way out of a negative karmic condition. “If I am of benefit to others, to the Earth, some philanthropic organization, or whatever…then I can see my way clear of inner negative karma.”
There are those of you who are experiencing Pluto’s energy in the eleventh house. Our primary concern regarding this house is one’s relationships…all kinds of relationships, ranging from family to friends, one’s marriage partner, to one’s casual acquaintances…and even to one’s enemies. Yes, a person has a relationship with every enemy one has, and oftentimes these are the most vital, powerful, and intense relationship(s) that one has in life. Hatred is an extremely motivating power. It can bring life into a stagnant, stale situation, and into any such kind of relationship(s). Long after such relationship(s) end, the hatred continues to feed on itself. It needs no further reason to exist than that. Pluto in the eleventh house, on the one hand, is friendly and feels warmth and even love towards all…no discrimination, no prejudice at all. They accept everyone at face value, and this is the problem. This is where the trouble begins because if you take everyone at face value, resentments and can be born because the person did not live up to what you expected and, if the truth were known, what you demanded.
Let us make a statement that is in line with what we are saying: Kindness can be a very negative force. We could even say that kindness can and does wound. Now let us explain what we mean by this. Let’s say that in a friendship where two people have been friends for many years and one betrays the other. Rather than express to the one who has betrayed you, perhaps based upon sentimentality, or fear of losing that person in your life because you cannot imagine living without that person in your life, so the betrayal is overlooked. This sort of “kindness” allows people to misbehave in hateful ways and not pay the price. In human language they have been “let off the hook!” You may say that this is simple forgiveness, and forgiveness is a positive thing. Yes, forgiveness is positive, but only if the person who has made the mistake or committed the offense owns up to the negative that was done and takes responsibility for his or her actions. Otherwise, forgiveness is an egotistical thing because it only serves to soothe only the hurt feelings of the one who has been wronged. Again, we hope that you will think about this statement carefully for its implications are subtle but real. Such also further depresses one into denial.
Spiritually, relationships are the very foundation of the makeup of the universe, whether we are talking about the relationship between two or more atomic particles that come together to form a form or body, or that between two human beings, two animals, between the Earth and her lives…all are the cohesive force of and in the universe. Matter could not and would not exist without a relationship between many, many particles joining in a “group consciousness.” All types of bodies are a result of the relationship of atoms that form molecules that form bodies. Spiritually, one’s relationships respond positively to words like compromise, willingness, forgiveness…the willingness to compromise and to forgive, and willingness to both give and receive love. Sometimes the most giving and loving people can seem to be made of brick…of brick walls and who are consciously unwilling to accept love. The reason for this is because one does not feel that they deserve love. If one does not feel that they deserve love, then relationships are a moot point, for they will not occur, and even if they do occur, they are not long lasting and are really troublesome to the person who is unwilling to receive love.
For those who are experiencing Pluto in the tenth house, This is an interesting place for Pluto because, in essence, [it] makes the statement that you are what you are and no one should ask me to be any more or less. So any relationship that demands that one be more than they are…more loving, more kind, etc….or, God forbid, be less than they are…less demonstrative, less demanding, etc….then the same problem occurs. This is that the person with Pluto in the eleventh house is not in control. This person has control issues, but the control is not so much over someone else or even the desire to control other people. It is rather more of a desire to control of one’s self, and to present their being a controlled person to the masses. To be seen as a controlled person who has their “act together,” has sound judgment, which is competent, and so forth is music to the ears of a person with Pluto in the tenth house. When the opposite is true and one with this position of Pluto is seen as unreliable, too independent, or even too undependable, this makes the person want to fight. The person wants to challenge the status quo, wants to challenge the other person’s or people’s opinion. And they can make very formidable challengers. Having Pluto in the eleventh house causes one to care too much about what other people think far more than they are willing to believe. They care too much about what other people think about what they do, what they feel and think, what they believe, and so on. This can become a very negative issue because the problem becomes that if one considers and values far too much how they are seen to others, sooner or later this will affect how one sees and how much value one places on one’s own self. It is like succumbing to the pressure of what other people think, and this occurs more often than you might think.
Spiritually speaking, one’s integrity, honor, and capabilities, one’s willingness to accept responsibility for one’s actions, and on and on, are the foundation of having Pluto in this house, then anything or anybody that creates a condition in the life of the person with Pluto in the tenth house that bespeaks of the opposite of these things, and this results in one creating karma with one’s own self! Too much attention is paid on creating karma between yourselves and other people. But it is often overlooked that karma can be created with your own self. What does this mean? It means that one has created a debt to be paid to one’s own self. For example, perhaps you were given the talent of being musically inclined and talented. But, for some reason, you choose not to rely upon or even use that talent, [that] creates karma with yourself. In such a case, one does not live up to their potential, which causes them to blame other people and/or conditions outside of one’s self for that problem. Or, one often feels a burden of guilt that they have not lived up to their fullest potential. Lack of self-confidence can lead to guilt, and guilt is one of the most powerfully negative feelings one can suffer from, especially if the guilt is aimed at one’s own self. Blame others and causing others to feel guilty is one thing, but to make one’s self feel guilty is destructive….ultimately it is the ultimate “tool” of self-destruction. Forgiving doesn't mean allowing one’s self to continue committing the same mistakes and/or taking the same actions that caused the guilt to begin with. Forgiveness of one’s self means accepting the responsibility that you have made an error, and seek not to repeat that error again. If a person seeks to genuinely cease a repetitious response, negative action, and so forth, this will usually be enough to arrest the problem, or at least begin to do get you out of the “habit” of being stuck in the mode of guilt and lack of responsibility.
We trust that you will review our words and consider what of them applies to you. It is our hope that what we have said will help you see how Pluto can be experienced as it is located in the center of the galaxy. When we come together again we will discuss the energy and nature of Pluto as it applies to the United States and to the two events that are occurring in the world today that are of the greatest importance, those being war and genocide. God bless yourselves.
