As we come into this vibration, I, Albion, come so that we might share some information regarding the subject of earth healing. The earth is a living, evolving Soul. It is quite clear that the earth has a physical body. However, it also has emotions and feelings, a mind, and a Soul. The earth thinks and feels, but not in the way that a human being thinks or feels. The earth is a “collective “ energy that is composed of all the minerals, plants, animals, and humans. The earth also has an aura, which is the atmosphere, which is a part of the living planetary being. One might think of it as if all the minerals, plants, animals, and humans are like “atoms” that comprise the body and soul that is the Earth Mother.
In our discussion concerning earth healing, we wish to repeat something that we said in our last lesson, that being that the earth is, at this particular time, in need – more so than at any other time in over 3,000 years – of healing. Let’s think about the word “healing.” Most of the time healing means bringing a sense of health in the physical sense to the physical body, but we say that we must go a step beyond this to truly understand and embrace all that there is to understand concerning earth healing. We are not just concerned with the healing of the earth’s body, but also with making a contribution in various ways to the health and the sustaining of the earth’s health.

Minerals do nothing to disturb in any way or bring ill health to the earth’s body. Neither do plants or animals. But when it comes to humans, it is quite another story. For the last 30-35 years, it has become rather popular, particularly in the area of alternative thinking, to be concerned about the welfare of the planet. There are institutions, governmental branches, and organizations that are dedicated to the notion that human beings, collectively, must come to realize the condition the planet is in. You must come to know that the earth is alive, and that the earth’s health can – and has been – damaged by human activity. Even more importantly, the earth can – and has been – damaged by human values. It has been too long overlooked that Nature is not valued. For example, were it not for the trees, there would be no oxygen for you to breathe. And so when there is the cutting and burning of the rain forests – which are but the tip of the iceberg, you see – for all damage to the old-growth forests, worldwide, does indeed limit the creation and flow of life’s air for you. The inter-relationship between the kingdoms of life and the planet, while each is different for the consciousness of each is different, the result is the same: one life kingdom must stay in balance with the other. When balance is not sustained, then the life force of the planet becomes less and less potent. It is like a human being able to take in only half of the breath that is needed. This causes suffocation in a human. So, the earth is ill and sore. There is not one single person in this Circle of Light who is not aware of this truth. Most of you are emotionally and intellectually and spiritually aware of the problems that the environment has and continues to suffer. I, Albion, could talk for many hours about the damage that has been done, but it would serve no purpose. You are aware of the polluted waters and soil, the acid rain, and other issues. Thus, rather than to focus on this, we would prefer to speak of three specific ways that each of you, individually or collectively as a group, can do that would contribute to the health energy of the Earth. But first, we wish to make something perfectly clear. There is no prayer; there is no ceremony, or meditation or guided visualization or shamanic journey that will literally heal the Earth. What can occur is that with ceremony, prayer, and all the things we just mentioned, there can be a strengthening of the planet’s energy. The earth needs strength. It needs and get this from all the lives that live upon her skin.
A moment ago, we mentioned the word “suffocation.” Let’s think for a moment that in this first technique we will explain, that the planet is having problems breathing. The first thing that results due to such difficulty is fatigue due to a loss of energy and a lessening of life force that is circulating through the body. Ultimately, if the problem is not relieved, there will be suffocation. There are those, particularly in the Southwestern part of the U.S., who, for the purposes of beautification and low maintenance, will take black plastic tarps and put it over the entire area of a lawn. All trees and bushes are left, but the ground itself is stripped before the plastic is laid down over every inch of that ground. On top of the plastic, load after load of stones are poured on that will eventually cover the entire surface of that lawn. This causes the earth, in that place, to be unable to breathe. Other places in other parts of the country and the world also apply this type of lawn maintenance. As a result of the ground being covered up, there is no fresh breath allowed in.
In your travels and everyday experiences suppose you were to come across such a place where air is prevented from getting in. In such a case, there is a simple way to open up breathing “holes” with a makeshift type of “breathing device.” What you will need for this is some sort of hollow piece of pipe, which can be made of metal, plastic, bamboo, or anything else you choose, as long as it is a round, hollow “tube” about a foot in length. Take four of these pieces of tube and, as close as you can come – sometimes the place may be on public or private property – and push the four tubes down into the soil, leaving about an inch above the soil. This creates an “air hole” of sorts. In fact, if you will do this on your own land, putting a tube in each of the four directions, it will help the land to breathe in that area.
Pollution is another problem for the Earth. There is virtually nothing that anyone can do except to immediately stop polluting the soil, waters, and atmosphere worldwide. You know and we know that this is not going to happen, the reason being profit. Pollution contaminates. If you take tainted food or an excessive amount of chemicals into your body, then the blood, tissues, organs, and bones can become tainted or polluted by what is eaten. The most dangerous thing that humans allow to happen today has to do with the chemicals that are put into the soil, they say to “fertilize” the soil, and the chemicals put into foods. There is virtually no such thing as “fresh meat” because the meats have been filled with chemicals that contaminate them. Contamination like this has led to health problems – illnesses and diseases – that would not be an issue if food was not radiated and filled with chemicals. Attention deficit disorders in children and adults, cancers of the internal organs such as stomach and colon cancers, Alzheimer’s disease, multiple sclerosis, and Parkinson’s, all of which have to do with the central nervous system and are on the rise. Even though these maladies just mentioned have been around for a while now, it is their extremely rapid increase that is of primary concern.
Cleansing in a ceremonial way is a very easy and important thing to do. We would suggest that it not be done once in a while, but that each of you does it at least once each week, preferably for the rest of your lives. Think about this for a moment. You have a bowl of contaminated water filled with bacteria, chemicals, and so forth. On the other hand, imagine that you have a bowl of pure, clean water. You cannot take the bowl of clean water and pour it into the contaminated water and expect the contamination to disappear. What you will end up with is a diluted, contaminated bowl of water. However, if you put a value on just a vial, or dish or bowl of pure water, and you claim that the water is not only physically pure, but that it is also healing water. Pure water heals and sustains a body. Polluted water contaminates the body, including the water that comes from most of the taps in homes across the country. Again, if you place a value on the pure water and then use that water as healing water. It is based on the same principle of “sacred water” that the Catholic Church has utilized for years. Your water should be prayed over in the following manner:
- This water is pure
- This water has healing power
- This water has “balancing power”
Next, take that bowl of consecrated water and place it in a glass container that you can keep with you at all times, like in theglove box of your car, your purse, or even in a small medicine pouch. Then, when you pass by a stream, a creek, a lake or pond, or even the ocean, and there is pollution that is apparent, take out that vial of pure water, and in a sacred, ceremonial way, add just a few drops to the polluted water with the intent in mind that the fresh water will remind the molecules that exist as the lives that compose the tainted water, what it is like to be healthy. It will also bring attention to the tainted water that its life is in danger, and remind the tainted water that any living thing that partakes of it will be harmed by it. In essence, the pure water is saying to the tainted water …"you are not clean now, but you were once clean." In every droplet, there is a “memory” of that cleanliness and purity. The water will respond by calling attention to itself in ways that are available to contaminated water to call attention to itself. One is through the bad water’s odor, which can become so nasty and potent that it cannot be overlooked or ignored. No one likes to live around such a smell. You see this happening right now in the waters left by the hurricane in the Gulf States. The water will exude a stench to call attention to itself. You may say that with all the human wastes in the water, it will not smell good. We say, however, that the stench is even more potent when the water is calling attention to it. Water will also call attention to itself by being stagnant. There can be an altering of the river’s flow, for example, so that the water will become damned up behind a boulder or a fallen tree or some other obstruction. Water has intelligence. It will consciously meander until it collects itself in that one place and not flow freely. People will notice that the creek or river is not flowing like it should. The cause of this will be sought out, as a rule, to discover what is causing such a thing. The water called attention to itself. With the intent of healing, putting a few drops of pure water in the contaminated water allows the molecules of the pure water to make contact, so to speak, with the molecules of the dirty water. What the message says is “you were once pure.”
The third technique we wish to discuss concerns the fact that each of you takes water for granted. Any human being, when they turn on the faucet, remembers to give thanks to the water spirits is an exceptional human being. Most do not see that every molecule of water is a living being unto itself. In fact, let’s think about a lake for a moment. All of the molecules of water – every little drop – has a personality, a life force, and is simply an individual that exists in a collective state. The droplets make up the lake. We suggest that you put together what we refer to as a “Portable Earth Healing Kit.” There are certain things you will want to put into it.
First, you must find a container that will fit into the glove box of your car, your purse, a medicine pouch or something that you can keep near you or on your person at all times. Next, obtain a small glass bottle or jar that has a lid. Wash it thoroughly, and then fill it with pure, clean water. Keep that container of water as a part of your Earth Healing Kit. When it runs out, replace it. Secondly, in the Native tradition, having an offering for the land for the purpose and intent of cleansing and balancing (which is healing) is necessary. An example of a common offering is cornmeal. Another is corn pollen, which we feel is much more potent than cornmeal. So a little bag of cornmeal or corn pollen is another part of your kit.
Then, let’s say that you are driving along on the road and you see a place that has been damaged by fire, perhaps by a house burning down or a forest fire, and the land has been scorched. Maybe some of the trees and animals have also been destroyed. This is a place whose energy or life force has been scattered, like all the molecules of matter that made up that place have burst and scattered to the wind! This is how soil or anything else that has been burned behaves. It is as if gravity has lost its hold and the energy flies in every direction. But when tobacco, cornmeal, or some other herb of your choosing – for it should be in the plant kingdom – is given as an offering and a prayer that the land recover, that the land heal itself, and that the land is valuable – not in the monetary sense only – when the land is complimented and wished well in its process of recovery and healing, and you have proven your intent with the offering, then the land will respond. The offering is a gesture that gives the land the impetus and a reason to recover, and so the healing will begin. When arson or some other form of human carelessness has destroyed land, that land “feels” neglected, unwanted, and unappreciated. Of course we are using human terms to try to explain the consciousness of the land. If feels that if it had value it would not have been treated carelessly, you see. However, if a natural fire such as a lightning strike has burned land, it is not land that needs healing. In fact, a natural fire is a natural process of the earth healing herself in that place.
Let’s say that there is a house where a crime or something negative has taken place in that house. The house sits on land, and
land, sort of like a sponge, literally absorbs the negativity. Watch the soil soak up water that is poured onto it. Well, this is the way that land is with energy – be it positive or negative energy. The land absorbs the energy created by the negativity into itself. This is land that the soil itself needs cleansing. You cannot do this, but what you can do is to take a little bit of that soil – a thimble full is plenty – and take it home with you. Treat it gently. The soil, trees, animals, and all else that is a part of Nature, receives your thoughts telepathically. So, telepathically, we want you to think that soil clean, to think that soil be purged of the energy it has absorbed by the negative event. If you do this over a period of seven days, you continue to send cleansing thoughts to this little thimble of soil – and that soil is psychically linked to the place and soil it came from – you will help it cleanse. You can imagine the soil is like a sponge that is being squeezed so that all of the negative energy is coming out. Or, you can imagine that there is fresh water flowing over and cleansing that soil. In any way you can image the cleansing process is fine. Having a bit of the damaged soil itself helps give your own subconscious something tangible to work with. Any natural disaster, whether it be an earthquake, a storm, flood, or any disaster that is not man-caused in any way, is the way the Earth heals herself. She seeks to lick her wounds in areas where such events occur. In any given place where there has been a flood or storm that brings about massive amounts of water, then the Earth knows that in that area, no matter what its size – be it a neighborhood, a town, or a large city – the Earth knows that deep in the ground that the water, over a long period of time, has been polluted and/or that its flow has in some way been interfered with, you see. In the case of New Orleans, the water had been dammed in an unnatural way. Water will seek its freedom. If it is a disaster that is caused by the wind, then the Earth knows that in those places there is a need of sweeping away what is on the surface like a chalkboard so that it can be written on again. The soil may have been over-farmed, and when this happens, the wind will sweep away the topsoil that is damaged, so that new soil can emerge.
When we come together again, we will do a ceremony out of doors so you can see precisely how to do it. (This involves the “drawing” of the Earth with art sand – blues, brown, and white . Get down on the ground, after asking permission from that place and all the lives who live in that place, take up a little bit of the art sand and begin drawing the Earth with the sand. Blue is for the seas. The white is for the clouds and the atmosphere, and the brown is for the continents. Then, in a circle with hands clasped, prayers should be offered by each individual present that this image of the planet, healthy and whole, should be sent, telepathically, to wherever it is needed. When the rain comes it will take the image into the soil, i.e. the Earth will absorb the perfection represented by the image into herself.
When we come together again, we will talk about the Moon, i.e. what the Moon represents and how it affects life on Earth, including human beings. We will also talk about lunar-based ceremony. God bless yourselves.
P.S. I, Albion, am well aware that you are all having thoughts about the hurricane that has occurred in the last seven days [Hurricane Katrina]. We do choose to make two comments about this event. We will refrain from making any comment that has political overtones, for this defies the purpose of one truly understanding beyond their frustration, anger, and their general feelings about what has happened.
The earth’s waters needed cleansing in the areas that were struck. What better way for the planet to do this than for the waters to call attention to themselves by an almost instant manifestation of more pollution and more restrictions? These problems with the waters were not created by a natural disaster, but by a man-created disaster. There were actually two hurricanes, one that was natural (which alone would not have done the damage that it did) and another that was unnatural. The unnatural one was caused by mankind’s interference by building on land below sea level and by creating unnatural levies. The levies caused the problem to be worsened and more complicated.
Secondly, among most people there really is not a very clear true understanding of what is meant by the word karma. Most consider karma to automatically mean that one has to pay for something done wrong, and that they will reap the results of a mistake, whether the mistake was intentional or not. So, karma means that one is being “paid back,” you see. What has been sown will now be reaped. Yes, this is true, but only to a point. The word karma means “activity”. When there is activity such as a storm, a human-created event, a relationship…whatever it may be….a human-created activity is the only kind of activity that builds or pays off karma.
Lets use the people in Louisiana as our example. Here you had thousands of people trapped, literally, in a situation that, for various reasons – some monetary, some having to do with no transportation, and illness – could not and did not escape the perils of the storm and the result it had on the land and buildings. All of these people, due to other lives they have lived and due to other experiences they have had, not necessarily in a past life, where they had been misjudged, mistreated, abused either by racial or economic or political or even religious abuse, and so on. All of those people (and the color of their skin mattered not, although it is interesting to note that the majority of them were African Americans) unconsciously were/are aware of that abuse they have suffered. Thus, they allowed themselves in a sort of “karmic sacrifice” to allow themselves to be abused in front of everyone in the world, to call attention, so to speak, of abuse in general, that humans heap upon one another. When this occurs in massive numbers like this, the abuse that is taking place now is being overlooked, ignored, or forgotten by the masses. Many of those who survived and those who did not, lived lives of slavery, some of them more than one. We are not just talking about physical slavery, but also about political, social, economic, and religious “slavery.” We know you have heard it said that people don’t get alone until something disastrous happens. Then everyone is instantly willing to go beyond such boundaries as race, religion, or economic status to help one another. Every time this happens is when humanity has come to a point – in this case we are talking about the United States – that humans have come to a point of “separation” amongst yourselves that violence, the devaluing of life that leads to separation of all kinds is permitted and overlooked. So disasters cause humans to realize this and to pull together once again.
