As we come forward into this vibration now for we wish to add to our thoughts concerning Egyptian magick. Again, we remind you that when we use the term “magick”, we are referring to a shaman or magician who is in perfect harmony with natural law, i.e. with Cosmic Law.
Magick is performed by those who understand when the energies are accessible and when they are not. This is one of the most important points we can make about Egyptian magick and magick practice in general. It matters not what the culture, the time period, the “source,” or what Spirits may be involved. The practice of magick has been passed down throughout human history. Even though the cultures, languages, time periods, and religions may differ, sometimes in minor ways, other times in major ways. Nonetheless, the basics, which are knowledge of natural law and the ability to put one’s self into a trance or altered state of consciousness so that Spirit might be contacted and communicated with. It is the spirits that guide the process of magick. This statement is not meant to take away from the knowledge and/or the magikal practices that have been utilized by shamans down through human history. The spirit guide, be a spirit guide or spirit teacher that one is aware of and familiar with, or it may be a spirit that the practitioner knows nothing about. these types of spirits would be best called “forces of energy” so that the conscious cooperation between spirit(s) and humans may be achieved, thus resulting in successful magikal practice.
Among the ancient Egyptians there were many magikal practices, some of which we have spoken about in earlier lessons. In this lesson, however, we wish to speak about what we will call Egyptian star magick. In order to approach this subject in as simple a way as possible, we want to lay a bit of groundwork here. Those who have studied Theosophy and various forms of both Eastern and Western Wisdom Teachings, are well aware that in these there are many references made to Beings (not Spirits – and there is a difference which we will explain later). The kinds of Beings we are referring to are sometimes called Light Beings. Light Beings are not angels, nor are they human souls that have reached the ultimate height of initiation who have gone far beyond the ordinary realms of Spirits. There can be but one definition to be applied to these great Beings, which is that they are Cosmic Beings. They are not related to and do not operate within the confines of any one planet or star system in the universe. In fact, these great Beings affect the entities that do dwell within various star systems and upon various life-supporting planetary bodies in various parts of the universe.
